This is interesting because I have been thinking about getting a treadmill for a long time but was put off because of the space! I love walking, but have had IBS for the last year and a half which makes walking very difficult. We live on a hill and I get very sick while walking uphill and down hill. Sometimes I get so exhausted that I have to ring my mum to bring the car down to get me!!!!
A treadmill like to would help me so much to get my fitness back up! Plus it has the added bonus of being foldable so it would not fill up the space in our tiny house. Thank you for this review, I might talk to my parents about getting one!

Hello, Emma, from what you just narrated, you sure need to get back to fitness and I believe Proform Pro 1000 treadmill will be a good place to start. The adjustable incline will also help you to get back in shape as that will increase the intensity of your workout.

I always wanted to exercise indoors and was looking forward to buy some equipment. You have a great review of this product making it easier for us to decide if this product is right for us or not. I liked that the cons were covered too. Thank you for your review. I have bookmarked this page and will come back.

What exactly is ProShox Cushioning? How does this compare to other similar treadmills? I have issues with bad knees and am very selective about the type of treadmills that I use.

Hi Nicole, Just as explained in the post above, ProShox Cushioning is a system designed and built-in onto the machine to have a cushioning effect on your Knees, ankles, feet, and hips so that there would be no less stress in those areas during a workout.

Thanks for the detailed review. This treadmill seems like a great value. Lots of features and I like that is is compact. Who wants a huge piece of equipment taking up the whole room?

The Proform Pro 1000 Treadmill sounds like a winner. I am still on the fence about a treadmill or exercise bike. I like that the treadmill folds up where as I don’t have a lot of space. The review was helpful. Thanks

Thanks, Dave, I hope you will get off that fence soon and decide on which one to go for. However, it all depends on your budget.

I am shopping around for something that I can exercise with at home. I used to have an elliptical machine but we had to get rid of it when we moved- it was so heavy!
This proform pro 1000 sounds great as it’s fold-able and has all the functions I am looking for. How easy is it to fold though? Are there many steps in folding it?

    • Nnamdi

Hello Dinh, So glad you found this post and the product interesting. And yes, folding it does not require any special talent or some sort of assistance. What I am trying to say is that it is pretty easy to fold.

Many thanks for your great review. I am currently on the look out for an appropriate treadmill for my house. Two things tick the right boxes for me regarding the Proform Pro 1000 Treadmill. First, I like the fact that it can be folded down and stored under a bed – big plus for me, that. Second, I like to do bursts of sprinting on my treadmill, so that fact that you can achieve 12mph on this one is ideal. Kudos for such a thorough review.
