The Frame and Construction
The ProGear 750 Rower’s frame is made of a high quality, heavy duty steel with 37 inches to 47 inches adjustable chrome slide rail that provides smooth rowing. It supports up to 220 pounds/100 kg maximum user weight capacity.
It is not a very large rowing machine as the assembled dimensions are 53 inches long by 26.5 inches wide by 36.3 inches tall, so, a workout area of 4 feet 4 inches long by 2 feet 2 inches wide, although for the purpose of safe and comfortable workout experience it is recommended to provide a clearance of at least 2 and a half feet on each side and the rear end. It can comfortably accommodate different users ranging from 4 feet 9 inches up to 6 feet 1 inch.
The folded dimensions are 45.5 inches long by 26.5 inches wide by 7.8 inches tall. This is a significant reduction in size that could allow you to store it even under the bed.
It weighs just 54 pounds/24.4 kg; with its compact design relocating it and storage will not be difficult for most people.
For stability, it has a solid crossbar tubing at the front and the rear a stabilizer bar that also doubles as the incline adjuster. There are 3 adjustable rail incline angles of 0, 3, and 5 degrees designed to provide a variety of workout options with different challenging levels that could tone the muscle groups and help you lose tons of calories.
This is a rower with no doubt that provides overall body workouts with additional multi exercises workout capability. You can perform exercises such as the rows, curls, shoulder presses, pulldowns, Ab workouts, bent over rows, pec flies and more.
Interestingly, it is equipped with 3 adjustable rowing positions that allow you to perform cardio workouts that target the overall body or just the upper body alone.
The ProGear 750 Rower provides a 180-degree range of rowing motion for full arm, chest and shoulder exercises.
We added a video to this review to help you further understand the ProGear 750 Rower if you are particularly visually inclined.
The Seat, Handles, and Pedals
The ProGear 750 Rower’s seat, pedals and handles are designed to provide optimum comfort to users. These three aspects of the rowing machine cannot be compromised because that will result in poor rowing experience or performance that could ultimately attract a bad reputation for the brand and the manufacturer wouldn’t allow that to happen.
That being said, the seat and the backrest are well cushioned and padded up to 1.8 inches thick. The seat is large with dimensions of 12.3 inches wide by 9 inches long, while the backrest has dimensions of 26.5 inches long by 12.5 wide inches.
This is a proof that the seat and the backrest provide maximum comfort which encourages long duration of a workout session.
The handlebars are well covered with rubber/foam material to provide comfortable grip during workouts which prevent blisters and slippage.
The ProGear 750 Rowing machine features large pivoting textured anti-slip foot pedals with adjustable straps that are designed to secure your feet in place while exercising. Being that the pedals pivot this reduces stress in the ankles.
This rower is integrated with 2 independent adjustable hydraulic cylinders for tension resistance. There are 3 hydraulic resistance levels that could be adjusted independently on the left and the right handlebars.
You can easily adjust the resistance by attaching the hydraulic cylinders in any of the 3 holes on the handlebars. Therefore, you can determine how easy and how difficult your workout should be by adjusting the resistance accordingly.
You are bound to experience outstanding and challenging workouts due to resistance and your ability to perform full range rowing motion of 180 degrees that particular exercise the arms, shoulders, back and the chest.
The ProGear 750 Rowing Machine comes with a basic console with a single button for MODE and RESET through which you can set the display to your preference.
The LCD display has a high-quality readability, however, may be compromised when used in a poorly lit room because it is not backlit.
The LCD display indicates the SCAN, time, rep count, calories burned, and total rep count which in overall keeps you focused and motivated towards achieving your fitness goals.
The console is powered by 1 AA battery that is included as well. Therefore, the unit does not need electricity to function.
The display goes into hibernation when in idle for a couple of minutes in order to save battery power. It automatically comes back on when rowing/activity resumes.
There is also a tablet holder on the console designed contain small tablet/phone.
The approval rating of the ProGear 750 Rowing machine is impressive and indicates that it is a popular rower.
However, there are one or two concerns which we declared earlier to unveil and that is the fact that some users expressed their dissatisfaction in having to turn the rower over in order to perform these other additional exercises because they either think that it is rather heavy or it is time-consuming to do so.
Then the other complaint has to do with the unavailability of a detailed instruction manual that explains how to use the rowing machine to perform these other additional exercises. In other words, you have to figure out how to use the rower on your own.
But in overall, the majority of the users that wrote a review on Amazon did not mention any of these as a problem which means they are fine with the overall performance of the rowing machine.

Shipping, Assembly, and Maintenance
The shipping cost of the ProGear 750 Rower with Additional Multi Exercise Workout Capability depends on the vendor you are purchasing from, nevertheless, Amazon provides free shipping.
The assembly of this rowing machine is not difficult at all because it is already assembled out of the box. You simply need to insert the battery and a pin and the will be all and you are all set to go. You will probably spend more time in getting it out of the box and the Styrofoam than it will take to set it up.
No maintenance required except to always examine the unit to know if there is any part that is loosed, worn, or broken and fix accordingly if there is any before use.
Then also always the rower clean from dirt and sweat at all times.
Our honest opinion is that the ProGear 750 Rower is a recommendable rowing machine especially considering the price and of course the innovative features.
Just as the manufacturer rightly asserted, ‘’stay fit and pay less’’.
