I have in the past written posts on how to lose weight or how to lose belly fat fast and all that, but this is a different and unique post after so much research work. In this weight loss tips article, I will be revealing other ways one can lose weight naturally. Weight gain or obesity is one problem that most people have without knowing what to do about it.
There are people that advocate dieting to lose weight, but in as much that works to an extent, some people especially women complain how long it takes to start seeing positive result with that method. So, I decided to see if there is other way one can actually lose weight faster than dieting. Nevertheless, losing weight through dieting could be slow but steady, and that could really make someone to make it a way of life, which is good for a long term weight loss.
Weight loss is not something you achieve and revert back to your old ways of life that actually caused the weight gain in the first place. Truth be told, you must keep to a healthy life style in order to live a life that is free from weight gain. The earlier you start accepting the fact and reality the better off you are to losing weight and staying that way.
Like I said earlier, there are other ways to really quicken your goal of achieving weight loss.
Watch Your Fluid by Taking Green Tea
A recent study had actually proven that green tea can help in burning or melting that fat away from the body. Researchers compared the metabolic effect of green tea with that of a placebo, and they discovered that green tea drinkers burned 70 additional calories within 24 hours. And the 70 calories burned a day was equal to a total of 7.3 pounds of fat accumulated in a year, you can believe that, it’ science. They (researchers) believe that it is because of the metabolism-enhancing antioxidants substance present in green tea called catechins that is responsible for that kind of outstanding effect.
Stop Intake of Calories in a Glass
Scientists have discovered that the body does not register liquid calories in the same way it does solid calories. For example, drinking a grande caffe mocha, will not make you feel ‘’filled up’’ the way eating a bowl of pasta would. Now, you would be a lot hungry and willing to take another cup of starbucks instead of taking a plate of linguine, even though the calorie content in those liquid are higher than what is in a plate of linquine.
Therefore, monitor the intake of that juice, wine, soda, or coffee that you take. If you take any of those during the day you would have taking about 800 extra calories by dusk or night time, and funny enough chances are you would still be hungry. And unfortunately, alcohol suppresses the metabolism of fat, which will make it difficult to burn those calories.
Get a set of dumbbells and find weight that is suitable for you to start lifting. At least, getting a weight is a onetime expenditure that would not require you doing it again. Strength training helps to build lean muscle tissue which actually burns more calories at work or at rest 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The more you engage in strength training the more lean muscles you will develop, and your body will be burning more calories round the clock.
You can simply do your strength training by doing some push-ups, lounges, squats, and using some dumbbells for biceps curls or triceps pulls right at your apartment or even at the office. Do this and you will see how your body will be sculptured and chiseled, the way you would have desired it to be.
Avoid Too Much Salt
Research has proven that sodium contributes to water retention, thereby making a person to appear ballooned. If you eat too much salt, then it is high time you stopped taking too much of it. 2,400 milligrams or one teaspoon of sodium was the suggested amount or value to be taken daily, but most people take twice that amount which unknowingly to them is unhealthy. I repeat, you reduce your intake not to stop altogether.
You also need to watch the can foods that you take because some of them such as V8 juice contain 800 mg of sodium. Pretzels and chips snacks are salty foods.
Spice it up
According to Angelo Tremblay, Ph.D., director of the division of kinesiology at the Laval University, in Canada, discovered that eating pepper can boost a person’s basal metabolism, i.e the total calories the body burns during rest. The reason is that, Capsaicin a compound found in jalapeno and cayenne peppers could increase the body release of stress hormones such as adrenaline, which can speed up the metabolism and the ability to burn calories.
Eating of hot pepper can reduce appetite according to Tremblay, helping to take care of your cravings. So, spice it up with hot peppers, eat low-calorie chili or salsa and witness the weight come off faster.
Get Enough Sleep
I have earlier on posted in one of my many articles on how sleep deprivation could make you gain weight. Funny, some people would think otherwise instead. Apart from the fact that you could be tempted to eat while you are awake at night, it also reduces the metabolic process of the body as well. Women that get less than 4 hours of sleep a day tend to have slower metabolism that those that get up to 8 hours of sleep, according to researchers in Chicago University.
This is yet another healthy habit that could really do some good to you. Some people practical live in automobiles, because they would go to the office in car, to the grocery store with a car, to their homes in a car, virtually everywhere they go is in a car. Having less time to walk and exercise the body. How about trekking to that grocery store or just have a stroll around the neighborhood, this habit could really shed some pounds off.
Empty Your Meal
Do not employ the technique of skipping meals because that would not help in reducing weight instead it will cause more harm. Why? If the body gets less food, it will sense that food is in short supply and thereby it will automatically reduce the metabolism of the body, and it will remain so even when you have started consuming the regular food as you should.
This means the body will be slower to use your body calories as fuel, thereby creating a backlog of unwanted pounds.
Inculcate the Habit of Exercising Everyday
You are probably on a diet and exercising already, but if you are not, it will be in your in your best interest to form the habit of exercising every day. Remember, weight loss is more of a habit than a treatment. Engage in 20 minutes exercise everyday such as using the stair case instead of using the elevator, walk to the train, bus station. Taking a dog out, gardening, housecleaning or mowing the garden can expend some calories off you.
Hydrate Your Body
You may have heard it before, that water Is good for weight loss. Taking about 64 ounces of water daily is one of the easiest ways to speed up losing weight. This increases the metabolism of the body which burns the fat. If you drink less water the body metabolism will be slowed and it will be difficult for the body to burn calories. Taking at least eight glasses of water a day will keep your system running and not only that, it also detoxifies the body too.
There are many weight loss hypes out there in the market place that claim to have the ability to take off 10 pounds in 10 days. Being desperate could make us to try anything that is sold to us, but we both know that these claims hardly work. As a matter of fact, some could even result to having complications that is life threatening.
Just be realistic and know that weight loss is all about healthy habit, and healthy habit alone can sustain any weight loss you might have achieved at the long term. Stop going for those short cuts that claims to make you lose weight over night. So, I would say, do all these and make it a way of life, and you happy you did.
