  1. hi Nnamdi
well the Nustep TRS 4000 recumbent cross trainer sure looks like a machine from the future! Lol! It seems like it includes a variety of features, making it very versatile and offering many workouts to choose from. I honestly have never seen a piece of equipment like that. A mix of a bicycle with a step machine. It does look solid and well made too, which to me, is a big plus for home equipment (which can tend to be flimsy). The downfall for me? The price. It sure is an expensive machine!

I love to workout and I have seen this machines around at various gyms, but have never used one before. I did not really know what they were for or what benefit came from using one of these but this post gives me a good understanding of what can be accomplished if you use this machine. It might be a bit pricey for a lot of people’s personal homes, but for gyms and exercise classes this could be an awesome addition. I will have to give this machine a try now that I know what it can do for me and how the thing works. Thanks for enlightening me on this machine!

Thank you Tyler, many people always think that it is pricey but when you calculate the amount you spend on gym registrations you may reconsider. Plus the fact that this machine has unique features that would provide you with the convenience of exercising at home and getting best of results. To me, no amount is pricey when it comes to health issue and if I can afford it.

Finally I found a website with all the information that I was looking for.
You have some great information here! I am just learning about the Nustep TRS 4000 Recumbent Cross Trainer , so I learned a lot.

I´m glad to know that, it has the ability to improve cardio endurance, tone the leg muscles and also reduce the degree of strain on your spine, hips, and knees during a very vigorous cardio workout session.

    Thanks!

Hey Nnamdi. Another excellent review by you. I really like the Nustep TRS 4000 Cross Trainer. I’m looking into getting another machine for my home gym. Right now I have an elliptical machine. I think the cross trainer would be a nice addition to our gym. Do they offer any payment plans on it?

Hi Nnamdi, I like the look of that machine, but definitely not the price! I can see its’ appeal though, you feel like you’re sitting down comfortably, but actually working out. I have used recumbent bikes before, and I found them much more comfortable than the upright ones, but I have heard they aren’t recommended for people with lower back problems. Do you know if that’s accurate?

I had a left total knee replacement 5 1/2 weeks ago. Everything went beautifully but I am part of the percentage that has had difficulty getting my range of motion back. I tried numerous exercise and finally went to the gym to see if I was able to ride a bike. I found I do not have enough bend for the bike but while I was there I discoveted this machine: it is PERFECT for my needs. I try to go twice a day for 30 minutes each time. I cannot recommend this piece of equipment more highly – absolutely no cons (other than it can be hard to get due to it’s popularity).
